Just because it's the right choice doesn't make it any easier on you so like Jen said, be kind to yourself. And Abby makes a very good point of still being able to put him to breast for comfort for both of you if that's something you felt you need.Tiarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511522028218347560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7678643247610271411.post-43813379120951932442012-03-15T17:31:16.342-07:002012-03-15T17:31:16.342-07:00Congratulations on making it to 9 weeks (and beyon...Congratulations on making it to 9 weeks (and beyond, with pumping)! that is quite an accomplishment, especially considering all the pumping and medicine and SNS and other kinds of extra work you did, and as a single mom! you are miraculous!

also, there's no rule that you can't put the baby to the breast if you want to. of course you will use the bottle also but it's not like the breast will hurt him. my friend who had breast surgery prior to having babies did that. her baby would have some recreational/minimally nutritious sucking at her breast a couple times a day, in combination with pumping and formula bottles. i think it was really nice for them. she eventually went to all formula, and never got a lot of breastmilk, but i think she treasured the time together.

love the pics!Abbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14992218915423095158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7678643247610271411.post-91988898624811557312012-03-15T17:15:57.067-07:002012-03-15T17:15:57.067-07:00Adorable pictures. I hope that things go well with the pediatrician.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07341444268342551783noreply@blogger.com
